This kit uses a set of plastic rifle rods featuring round flat tops covered in hook material. You then apply the loop material to the underside of the shelf which sits above the muzzles of your rifles. Now you insert the rod in your rifle, set it in place, then pull the rod up and stick it to the underside of the shelf. This holds the rifle in a true vertical position, which not only gives you more space but also makes it easier to access the rifles in the back. The rods are .22 caliber which will fit just about everything. For the smaller bores .17 caliber rods are available.
