Rise Armament Reliant 700 Trigger

Posted on 01/13/202601/13/2026 by John Russo

Rise Armament has been making top quality AR rifles and parts for years. Like most companies they started out with a few items and expanded as their popularity grew. Now they make tons of parts as well as complete high end rifles. This past year they continued that expansion by entering the bolt action rifle realm.

Rise has always been known for their outstanding and affordable drop-in AR triggers. I have used them on numerous custom builds and they always perform. I’ve even had them solve some function issues on problem guns where the mil-spec hammer and trigger weren’t working properly. Now, they have created a drop-in Remington 700 style trigger that lives up to the company’s reputation. It is called the Reliant and comes in two models, the Hunter and Pro.

The Rise Reliant Pro trigger with the straight flat trigger often preferred by target shooters.

The Reliant Hunter speaks for itself. It is designed for the hunter and is adjustable from 2-5 pounds while coming factory set at 3.5. The Reliant Pro is aimed more at the target shooter and is adjustable from 1-3 pounds while coming factory set at 2. Rise did a great job creating these triggers as they are true drop-in units unlike some other 700 trigger variants. Some other impressive features include easy adjustability, fast lock time, no take up, nickel boron coated internal components and a lifetime warranty.

I used the Rise Reliant Hunter trigger on a Remington 700 project I had done last year. It was a .223 20″ Remington 700 Tactical that I wanted to turn into a 6mm Creedmoor. I sent the action to Fink’s Gunsmithing where they recut the bolt face and trued/squared the action. I then gave it to Sullivan Custom Rifles where the owner, Vince, used a Wilson Arms light varmint stainless steel barrel blank, from Ragged Hole Barrels, which he cut to 26″. He then installed the Rise Reliant Hunter trigger and set it to 2.5 pounds. Next, we topped it with a Leupold VX-5HD 3-15×44 optic and a set of Talley lightweight alloy scope mounts. It turned out great and shoots one ragged hole with Black Hills ammunition.

I took the rifle to Wyoming to shoot prairie dogs at the Spur Outfitters ranch and it really got a work out. If you’re looking for some high volume fire, you have to check out the Spur. They have a rifle range where you can shoot out past a mile if you’re able! I was able to zero my 6mm out to 800 and then had a blast putting it to use. It didn’t disappoint and I was very happy with the overall build, especially the trigger. If you’re looking for a great trigger for your AR or your Remington 700, look no further than Rise Armament!
